Required Procurement Officer in HRSG 2024

The efficient and effective acquisition of goods and services essential to an organization’s running is the primary responsibility of the Procurement Officer. Supply chain integrity, cost efficiency, and overall business continuity are all greatly impacted by this job.

What a Procurement Officer Does:

  • Locate, evaluate, and choose suitable vendors in accordance with purchasing requirements
  • Perform supplier due diligence, which includes screening, adding to vendor database, and monitoring performance in real-time.
  • If you want to negotiate better prices and terms for your credit, you need to keep up with market trends.
  • Maintaining familiarity with government regulations (such as sales tax, levies, and tariffs) can greatly facilitate efficient processing and negotiations.
  • Prepare purchase orders (POs) for designated purchasing categories, review purchase requests (PRs), and ensure timely disbursement to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Keep suppliers apprised of when materials will be received and address any delays promptly.
  • Take care of supply-related quality issues and put steps in place to prevent them from happening again.
    Verify that all records pertaining to internal and external auditing standards are comprehensive.
  • Verify and update SAP records, including PIRs and the source list
  • Maintain Group policy and local/international legal compliance by the local procurement organization and any external vendors.
  • Closing data and documentation must be sent monthly in accordance with established protocols.
  • Keep all ISO records and documentation up to date
  • When personnel are unavailable or unavailable, help out other team members
  • Handle a variety of other tasks as directed
