A full time Remote Senior Accountant who would answer to the SVP of Finance and the Finance Manager is needed by Enthusiast Gaming. Compensation will be decided by experience. Being a professional with practical experience, the Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in the Finance team.

Remote Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities:
- Help with various monthly and quarterly account reconciliations in order to maintain correct ledgers and ensure accurate reporting;
- Closely collaborates with the finance manager to find process gaps and help all accounting functions comply with IFRS compliance standards;
- Participate in the quarterly review and annual audit processes;
- Help with closing procedures for the end of the month and quarter;
- Support the application of modifications aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of financial processes and procedures;
- Assist in finding and resolving financial disparities, make recommendations for fixes, and convey outcomes;
- Help in writing variance explanations, summaries of findings, and suggestions, as well as contributing to process documentation and business cases;
- Help with the bookkeeping duties assigned by the finance team to particular entities within the consolidated group;
- Create on-demand reports and keep an eye on KPIs;
- Support period tax filings, encompassing corporate taxes and HST among others;
- Support the creation of processes, the maintenance of internal controls, and financial management;
- Assist in giving management comprehensive analytics so they can make decisions;
- Provide support for budgeting, cash management, and corporate financial planning;
- Support the financial team in making sure that publicly filed quarterly and yearly statements are submitted on schedule, in accordance with TSX regulations and procedures, IFRS, and other applicable securities legislation;
- Responsibilities generally related to the Senior Accountant position; and
- Any other responsibilities and functions that the finance manager or vice president of finance may logically assign or seek.
Experience and Qualifications:
- A graduate degree in finance or accounting;
- Preferably a CPA or a CPA in progress;
- Three to five years’ minimum of accounting or finance experience;
- Working knowledge of various legal entities operating under various legal jurisdictions;
- Understanding IFRS is regarded as a benefit; and
- NetSuite experience is seen as a plus.

- Proficient to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Proficient in Excel with the ability to mine, extract, and work with massive amounts of data;
- Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to communicate with the user in both written and spoken forms;
- Extremely meticulous and analytical;
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities;
- Experience working for a publicly traded company with a global presence that has demonstrated efficiency gains by streamlining the accounting process;
- Excellent planning and scheduling abilities;
- Proactive and self-starting;
- Capable of organizing, arranging, evaluating, and carrying out various assignments and demands;
- Results-driven, possessing a “can do” mentality and a readiness to take on more duties as required; and
- Adaptable and capable of handling the shifting demands and priorities of the company while also growing with it.
