Tasks Assigned to Systems Analysts:

Give production and make-to-sell systems regular operational support. Encourage the adoption of EDI-enabled procedures with clients and suppliers.

Keep an eye on system performance, troubleshoot problems, and put solutions in place to guarantee optimum efficiency and little downtime. Middleware platforms, message queues, and (Application Programming Interfaces).

  • Work together with cross-functional teams to find solutions for challenging technical issues that have an impact on output. 
  • Determine where there are chances for cost-saving measures, efficiency gains, and system upgrades.
  • Take part in the planning, creation, and execution of system improvements and updates.
  • Make sure new features and functionalities satisfy business needs by thoroughly testing them.
  • Create and keep up-to-date thorough documentation for user manuals, setups, and system procedures.
  • Provide end users with training to encourage effective and efficient usage of production systems.
  • Give users continuing assistance and direction on system features and best practices.
  • Gather and examine data from operational systems to produce insightful analyses and reports.

Qualifications and Job Skills for Systems Analysts:

  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a similar discipline is required; an advanced degree or pertinent certifications are recommended.
  • More than two years of demonstrated experience in a systems analyst or related position, with an emphasis on production and make-to-sell systems.
  • 25% of team meetings, company off sites, employee onboarding trips, and other business requirements may require travel.  
  • Knowledge of inventory control and supply chain management as they relate to industrial processes.
