Qualifications and Experience of the Manager Internal Audit:
CIA, ACMA, CA Finalist, or ACCA member with three years of experience in the field, ideally in public service.
OR
I have a Master’s degree in finance or accounting from a school recognized by HEC and I have worked as an internal auditor for at least five years.
Not older than 50 years old
Duties of the Manager Internal Audit:
- Oversee and supervise the whole audit process, from planning to execution, including risk assessment and control management of the efficiency and dependability of operations, as well as compliance with all relevant rules and laws.
- Ensure that the internal audit plan is updated annually by assisting the chief internal auditor (CIA).
- Performs a thorough risk analysis of all business processes.
- Carry out a preliminary audit of significant payments and, if needed, inform management of the audit’s findings and observations. If additional action is needed, follow up with management’s response.
- Performs an internal audit of the company’s operations (such as accounting, human resources, and procurement) on a quarterly basis in accordance with their risk profile.
- Performs regular internal audits of high-value projects financed by both domestic and international sources, as well as audits conducted by the high-value Division.
- The low-value divisions are audited internally once a year.
- Keep an eye on management’s actions by conducting follow-up audits.
- Gathering relevant information from internal audits and submitting it to the CIA for official approval.
- Assist team members with their everyday responsibilities and assignments by providing clear direction.
- Collaboration with third-party auditors.
- Participate as an advisor during board or management-requested reviews of internal controls.
- The Chief Internal Auditor may delegate any other substantial duty.
